Rain pours from the sky
Sailing blind as the months goes by
It´s been dark since the day the ship set sail
Going farther from land
rowing steady with bloodstained hands
to the unknown that waits behind the veil
This could be their demise
The supplies have been covered by ice
Some who sleep never wake as cold takes lives
It´s the end and it´s near
It´s what is at the edge that they fear
They will have to be quiet or Jörmungandr will hear
Sailing from the northern lands, and out to open sea
Some has died from wintersbreath, and colder it will be
Sworn to sail the open seas until we are its prey
Even if we die we know our way so take us to valhalla
Months have passed since last we saw the colors of the sky
We will be in Oden´s court when time has come to die
Sworn to sail the open seas until we are its prey
Even if we die we know our way so take us to Valhalla
The edge is near Show no fear Take us to Valhalla
The end is here Show no fear Take us to Valhalla
The edge is near Show no fear Take us to Valhalla
The end is here Show no fear Take us to Valhalla

Since I met Grift, with his album Arvet, it immediately became part of my necessary music list in my life. For me it has everything: melancholy, anger, strength, darkness and beauty. Anna Countess

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson

Jordan Vauvert
