Far, far away on the uncharted sea
there´s an island where no one can ever be free
to explore or to dream of a world outside
for the brave who have tried have not ever survived

Scared were the gods.
Their weakness denied them the rights to explore,
to sail all the seas and to live in freedom, learn in wisdom,
their minds in chains, now trapped by fear of the gods.

Far, far beneath on the vast ocean floor
sleeps a gatekeeper who has the lock to the door
and the ones who set sail, who believe it´s all lies,
they will tremble in fear when it roaring shall rise

A brave soul sets sail, she is far out to sea.
Far beneath lies a horror in sleep,
and when it wakes the waves will grow and she´ll know why
the gods will smile when she´s dragged to the deep.

They have made their choice, and so they sealed their own fate
Defy the gods, and they will answer in hate
Eternity, and they will die while they wait
Forever locked, the beast will guard by the gate
